Offshore financial centre to begin trial operation in Fuzhou
Published: 21 Jun 2009 19:29:04 PSTJun. 22, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Fuzhou, the capital city of Fujian Province, will begin trial operation of its offshore financial center for Taiwan enterprises in Fuzhou Free Trade Zone, the Shanghai Securities News reported. The financial center will adopt favorable tax policy and provide comprehensive services such as banking, foreign exchange as well as vessel and company registration. The proposed cross-strait offshore financial center aims to realize the free exchange between the new Taiwan dollar and the RMB. It will also help further expand the financing channels of Taiwanese enterprises in China and establish a clearing and exchange system between the currencies from both sides.
