Introduction
Tianjin Wuqing Fuyuan Industrial Park (Tianjin Wuqing Fuyuan IP) was established by the Tianjin Municipal Government in 2006 and covers an area of 3 km2. It is a city-level park.
Tianjin Wuqing Fuyuan IP is located in Wuqing District’s Meichang Town. The town is 30 km north from the city center, 30 km from Tianjin Binhai International Airport, 60 km from Tianjin Port, 82 km from Beijing and 90 km from Beijing Capital International Airport.
Tianjin Port is a major passageway for cargo transport. The cargo from Beijing, North and Northwest China have to be loaded on board in Tianjin Port, and then be delivered to other coastal regions of China or to other countries. In 2007, the port's cargo throughput reached 309 million tons, ranking fourth in China (behind Shanghai, Ningbo and Guangzhou), and sixth in the world.
Binhai Airport is located 10 km from Tianjin’s downtown area. In 2007, its cargo throughput reached 125,000 tons, ranking twelfth in China. Beijing Capital International Airport is the largest airport by passenger throughput in China.
