In March, exports of Chinese electronics and IT products plunged 24.6% year on year to US$87.2 billion, accounting for 35.51% of the country's total export value. Those exports declined 19% in the first two months. The country's imports of electronics and IT products in the same month stood at US$56.91 billion, down 31.1% from a year earlier. Computers, cell phones, LCD panels, color TVs, processors and controllers are among the most exported products. In March, exports of laptops, the country’s top export product, were US$12.7 billion, down 9.9% from a year earlier, while exports of cell phones were US$7.55 billion, down 11.3% year on year. LCD panel exports tumbled 47.6% to stand at US$3.05 billion. Exports to China's three primary export destinations, Hong Kong SAR, the U.S. and Japan, stood at US$20.57 billion, US$17.54 billion and US$6.38 billion, down 26.59%, 16.28% and 22.39% year on year, respectively. The three largest exporting provinces, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Shanghai, saw export volume of US$36.11 billon, US$18.74 billion and US$13.79 billion, down 22.53%, 29.15% and 23.81%, respectively.
