Apr. 23, 2009 (China Knowledge) - SOHO China Ltd<410>, a leading real estate developer in China, saw its unfinished Sanlitun project in Beijing generate RMB 1.32 billion in sales revenue in the first quarter of this year, sources reported, citing Pan Shiyi, board chairman. According to the statistics from Beijing Real Estate Transaction and Management, the average selling price for the Sanlitun project's commercial properties hit RMB 60,000 per square meter (sq m) in the period from January to March. Located in Beijing's Chaoyang District, the project covers land area of 51,245 sq m and has a potential floor area of 315,680 sq m. When complete, the huge project will include five shopping malls, and nine office and apartment buildings. The Sanlitun project has realized RMB 8 billion in sales revenue since it began to sell in July 2008.
