Apr. 22, 2009 (China Knowledge) - U.S. luxury hotel operator Wyndham Hotel Group recently announced it will add two Ramada hotels to its China portfolio, namely Ramada Hotel & Suites Boao in Hainan Province and Ramada Huangshan in Anhui Province, sources reported.

The 1,000-room Ramada Hotel & Suites Boao, invested by Hainan Baolian City (Boao) Company, a subsidiary of the Shanghai Baolian Real Estate Company, will become the world's largest Ramada hotel when it opens in December 2010.

The 548-room Ramada Huangshan is a newly constructed eight-story building owned and operated by Huangshan Xinhui Investment Company.

Tom Monahan, executive vice president of Wyndham Hotel, said both the hotels are located at China's famous scenic spots which attracted many business guests and tourists. Two Ramada hotels there will help enhance the company's leading franchising position in China.

Currently, Wyndham Hotel has more than 170 franchising hotels in China, including 34 Ramada hotels.
