Apr. 6, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Best Buy Co, Inc, a global consumer electronics retailer, has signed a contract with Germany-based Wincor Nixdorf to adopt its New Store Opening solution in the retailer's six new stores in China, as part of its strategic expansion program in the country, according the company's statement.

The New Store Opening solution provides a global solution that includes consulting services, preparing the optimum IT and hardware configuration and the control of all suppliers and partners.

Wincor Nixdorf, a global provider of IT solutions and services to retailers and retail banks, completed the project in four months, ensuring that Best Buy's stores in China started operation in time for the respective official store openings, and will continue to provide support services in the future.
