Jan. 19, 2009 (China Knowledge) - U.S.-based financial holding company JPMorgan Chase & Co. cut its shareholding in BYD Co. Ltd.<1211> to 4.88% from 5.15% on Jan.12, according to the Stock Exchange's SDI information. JPMorgan Chase has sold 1.5 million H-shares in BYD for HK$18.738 million, and its total H-share holding in the Shenzhen-based carmaker decreased to 27.745 million from the previous 29.244 million. The average price of the share transaction was HK$12.5 per share. H-shares of BYD rose 3.05% to close at HK$13.50 on Friday.
