Dec. 16, 2008 (China Knowledge) - China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) will adopt effective measures to boost auto export, sources reported, citing Zhi Luxun, vice director of MOC's Department of Machinery and Electronics, as saying. MOC plans to further support auto industry in seven segments, including credit and incentives. Zhi explained the specific auto export supporting measures such as ranges of financial supports, exploration of international market and enhancing brand awareness. More credits should be granted to the export-oriented auto enterprises, said Zhi at the recent 2008 Chinese auto parts industry annual forum, adding that automakers should make full use of favorable policies by banks and insurance companies to control risks, and spur exports on both auto and auto parts. MOC will also offer incentives to Chinese auto makers to help them with their own brand building as well as introducing advanced technology from overseas countries.
