Nov. 26, 2008 (China Knowledge) - China, the biggest toy exporter in the world, has urged its toy manufacturers to pay attention to designs provided by foreign buyers and see if there are flaws that may lead to quality or safety problems, said Qin Gang, spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of China. Chinese toy makers are required to enhance their supervision on the manufacturing process as well as foreign designs so as to ensure the safety of its toys prior to the Christmas season. Qin noted tests on some defected toys showed that they resulted from the bad designs provided by foreign companies. Meanwhile, relevant government bodies will also reinforce the quality controls over the toy exports, according to the spokesman.
