Nov. 20, 2008 (China Knowledge) - Disney, the world's leading diversified international family entertainment and media enterprise, is planning to build a theme park in Shanghai, source reported, citing an expert who participated in the feasibility study of the project. The new theme park will be located in Huanglou area between the Pudong District and the Nanhui District. The main reason to choose this location is that it is only 10-minute drive from the Shanghai Pudong International Airport and may attract more tourists who can enjoy 48-hour visa-free stay. The relevant government bodies and the Walt Disney Company are currently negotiating on the details of the cooperation, and the approval from the State Council is just a matter of time, added the insider.
