Our company has been specialized on biscuits manufacturing and sales for over ten years, and export business for years. Our main channel for developing customers is by Canton Fair which held twice a year and Trading Company before 2009. With the development of company and the fierce competition from the market, our topmanagements wake up to the importance of oversea market, only by Canton Fair and Trading Company are not enough for developing new customers.Therefore, after an important meeting had been held at the end of year 2009, one crucial decision had been made by them—our company is planning to use Electronic Business(B2B). Our export department took one week to do a investigation about different B2B and reported to our boss, finally, we selected to cooperate with --- the best B2B in the world. To be hoenst, all the colleagues from Export department are so happy and excited ,for that we are confident to develop more clients by using this platform, at the same time, we can know about the B2B and learn more useful skills from it.

In December 2009, we formally signed cooperation contract with,in the first month, we received many inquiries from different countries,such as USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Uruguayt, Chile, Yemen, Africa, Ghana, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam etc.., we paid serious attention to every inquiry and never gave up any opportunity and client. However, three months passed by, we failed to catch any customer, at this time, most of us lost confidence, and doubted whether our option was right. We thought over where the problem was, whether the works we did were not good enough or our strategy is not correct at all?

In view of this serious situation, We organized an emergency meeting to discuss countermeasures .After discussion,we found that most of inquries were useless, these buyers only wanted to know the price by checking with different suppliers, or some inquiries from our craft brother. For these two points, we worked out new strategy . When we receive an inquiry, we request all the sales must do an evaluation for it. and judge if it is effective or not, if yes, we will pay more attention to it; by contrast, we even do not reply so as to save the time for other customers. one more three-month passed by, we received one inquiry from a Chile customer, our colleage thought this client was very faithful, so we tried our best to satisfy the client.( design, quoation, discount, terms of payment), We took one week to confirm everything. The last step was to confirm the quality, the client requested us to send 2 carton samples for checking urgently, they needed these samples for presentation in different local supermarkets. Of course, they promised to bear the freight fee. Samples was not the problem, the big problem we faced was the delivery, because 2 carton samples were too heavy, most of express companies can’t do custom, so we selected EMS express. Unfortunately, EMS failed to deliver the samples as well due toThe Asia Game held in Guangzhou, the China custom inspect strictly for every parcel, the parcel had been detentioned by Guangzhou Custom. At previous mail, we had advised the client the samples had been dispatched. At this moment, we saw this matter may cause serious result, the worst case was that we would lost this good client. We knew” the paper can’t cover the fire”, so we explained to client the state sincerely, out of a clear sky, the clients accepted our apologize and helped us to source one freight company in HK. We contaced this company and delivered the samples to HK first, then the company was in charge of delivering to Chile. Finally, the client received the samples on time, after checking and presentation, the client satisfied with the quality of our product and placed an offficail purchasing order one week later. Luckily, we finished the production on time,and also succeed to ship this container to our client before New Year.

In a very short time after that, my other colleague succeed to develop a new client from Uruguay as well.We are confident to develop more customers from differnet countries, because we have the best sale team ,attitude is everything, wisdom comes from union. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank as well as our service manager Chen Wenli, during one year's cooperation, we have known more about B2B and get many skills to deal with inquiry and commnication skill as well. In the coming 2011, we have more confidence to do well on, because we have accumulated precious experiences and more professionl through one year's study and training. With the help of, Kamtai will have a bright future, our biscuits will flow to every corner of the world, Silang will be well known by every person.
