It was not an easy thing to sell the goods oversea as a company who was majoring in domestic market and didn’t have any experience in the overseas sales. So we made an advance survey between traditional exhibition and new B2B E-Commerce, we found Alibaba.com was a good choice, then we made a bold attempt, we joined “Alibaba Trade Manager” in 2005 and became a “Gold Supplier” later on. When our website on Alibaba.com was opened in 2005, we could receive over 20 inquiries from oversea every day, the ordered customer’s quantity was increased from 0 to 100, Overseas sales seems becoming easier for us.
At 2005, we got our first order from Alibaba, it was an inquiry from Singapore. This customer needed some neck bags to their airplane company as premium. They hoped us to make the sample according to their drawing. We accepted their request and made sample accordingly. But each time when we finished the sample, they would change their idea and design based on our sample. After we changed this sample 5 times later, this customer placed the order to us. By our patience and sincerity, we didn’t only get the order but also get friendship from our customers.
On 2006, one of our overseas customers wanted to find a factory who can produce the Coca cola and McDonald’s premium goods for them, but the precondition was that we must pass Coca cola and McDonald’s third part testing audit. In order to grasp this customer, we applied for this audit and passed it successfully. Till now, this audit has helped us to get more orders from another overseas customer. We are very glad to follow our overseas customers’ request and meet their demand, because their request can enhance our competitiveness.
Now we have steady customer resource, they give us 80 containers’ order quantity per year, annual sales is over USD 1,400,000. Even under the global financial crisis on 2009, our overseas sales still keeps steady.
Through 5 year’s practice, the fact proved that our previous choice of Alibaba is correct. Now Shenzhen Kangjiaxu bag’s selling channels from the previous 100% domestic market to current half domestic and half overseas market. Our Annual sales were double from previous USD 2,000,000 to now USD 4,000,000. All of our overseas orders were 100% come from Alibaba, Alibaba makes our exports easier.
