Kunming Technology Company Ltd Owns the certificates for ISO9001,2000. Most of our products have passed the certification for CE, FCC, ROHS, UL, CSA, CCC, PSE and so on.
We started to cooperate with alibaba at the end of 2005. That moment our company wishes to expand the oversea market, then we decided to employ more international sales. But problems came also: we didn’t have enough oversea customers for sales people to care, and they didn’t know how to develop the new customer quickly. At the first 3 months the 8 sales didn’t get any order. My boss was so anxious about that status and asked me to think about how to deal with it. Unconsciously, I heard about alibaba from one of my classmates’ party, and then I suggested my boss to try. That moment, he didn’t have any idea about alibaba, but he had no good way then he agreed with me.
From then on, we got busy. Alibaba people came to give us training, guided us how to operate the platform. That moment we were so curious with alibaba, couldn’t believe it is so powerful. All of us were energic, we learned how to post selling list, how to edit the details; how to talk with customer on line…… One week passed, we uploaded almost all of our production on the website, and meanwhile, we get enquiries. 20 enquiries, 30 enquiries, 50 enquiries, some times we got more than 100 enquiries each day and order was coming day by day…
From alibaba, we get many long-term cooperation partners. Here, I would like to introduce how we started business with one of our Mexico client: 22nd Nov 2005, I went to sleep but kept computer on and Trade manager was on line. When I awaked next morning, I found there were at least 15 customers gave me message that night. I replied them, and told them my email address. 25th Nov 2005, I got an email, which is from one of Mexico customer, who sent me message also at 22nd. He asked for 30,000pcs solar USB. I didn’t believe I can get so big order from alibaba only 3 months after we became the golden supplier. So, I didn’t pay too much attention to this customer, just quoted a price, and never wrote email actively. About 5 or 6 days later, he asked me to make proforma Invoice for him; I did but never think that he would pay it. Unexpectedly, we got his 30% deposit at the third day and we finish this big order around USD295,000 at last.
At that moment, I really realized alibaba is so convenient, so helpful, you even can make order when you are having rest.
5 years passed, we still cooperate with alibaba and get many orders from it. Here, I write it down to enjoying the happiness with all of you!
