Chuangling specializes in producing washing machines and refrigerators. It produces 600,000 washing machines and 200,000 refrigerators annually. Till now, Chuangling has been approved by the IS90001 and IS014000 standards, and our products have obtained the CE certificate and meet the ROSH standard. We export to more than 30 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Russia, etc.
Since the establishment of our company,our strategic objective has always been expansion to the international market. In 2007, we joined Alibaba.com,and became a TrustPass-validated supplier. This largely enhanced our opportunities to reach out to foreign buyers and helped drive the development of our international business.
Seeing an increase in the number of orders we receive from the African market, we became more confident in foreign trade even when we were met with the financial crisis. In June 2008, we got an inquiry from an Algerian buyer, and we closed a deal after 3 months of business negotiation. Both of us aimed at a friendly long-term business relationship and we cherished this cooperation very much. This order, although quite small, opened the door to foreign trade for us. The buyer increased the volume of his order one month after the first product delivery. Our two companies then agreed to focus on technology cooperation going forward with the target of jointly exploring the African market.
Through the Internet, we have obtained a lot more buyer inquiries than before. Our sales team were required to be more responsible, professional and proactive in order to handle the inquiries well. We held training regularly to help our salesmen grow. By attending business seminars and taking part in trade fairs, our sales team accumulated a wealth of experience. When developing a market, we usually keep in touch with at least 5 potential customers. We selected 7 buyers as our potential customers last year. After one year’s in-depth negotiation, we established formal business cooperation with 2 reliable customers. They have already placed several orders with us.
To meet the requirements of our European buyers, we improved our products to reach the ROHS standard. Now, our products sell well in Europe. Through cooperating with China Export&Credit Insurance Corporation, we made exchange settlement more flexible. We were able to tide over the difficulties presented by the financial crisis together with our customers. This has won us customers’ appreciation and guarantees more export opportunities for us.
