Linhai Litai Toy Co., Ltd has been a Gold Supplier member of Alibaba.com for five years. We are a professional manufacturer of inflatable toys and other PVC products. Our current line of products includes floating toys, sand toys, animated toys, sofa toys, bags and other similar products.

Our factory was established in 2001. In the beginning, we cooperated with trading companies in China. Though the quality of our products was good at that time, we only got very little profit because we didn’t have our own overseas clients during those years. In order to develop the overseas markets and get our own clients, we decided to join Alibaba.com. Since we joined as a TrustPass member, the number of inquiries we got increased very fast, as well as our list of contacts from different countries.

I still remember the feeling when we got the first client from Alibaba.com. It was so exciting. We knew that the first step to success was very important to all of us. Though the order was not big, it gave us confidence to do business on Alibaba.com. And we believed that we could get more and more clients and orders. Several years passed, Alibaba.com became our close business friend, and it seems that we couldn’t do business without Alibaba.com now. Our annual sales were more than 4 million USD last year, compared with the sales of about 200,000 USD five years ago, which really surprised us. The more clients from abroad we cooperate with, the less trading companies in the Mainland we deal with now. The global economic crisis made lots of factories bankrupt, but our factory got lots of orders and was still very busy producing during those months. All of this information indicated that we benefited greatly from Alibaba.com.

During the years, I have always told our team to keep a good attitude, not only the factory’s management personnel but also all of workers who had to make good quality products. It’s key for a factory that wants to survive for a long time. I also ask our sales representatives to be positive, work well and cherish every client. Of course, we must be honest to all of our clients if we want to have a long cooperation relationship with them.

Once I met a client from Europe, who inquired about PVC inflatable beach balls on Alibaba.com. The quantity was very big and it was a big order for us. So we discounted the cost again and again, and gave him a really competitive price. But he told us that our price was still much higher than another factory, by more than about 20%. We felt that it was almost impossible because the other factory’s price was even less than the product’s basic cost. It was a pity but the client made his order to that factory in the end. But we still communicated with each other and hoped for future cooperation. About one month later, he told me that the other factory used material which did not comply with European Standards. Therefore, the product didn’t pass inspection. And it caused a great loss to the client who regretted having chosen the other factory. Since then he has only chosen us to do those kinds of products for him on the premise that our products past all the tests. From this experience, we’ve confirmed that we should always be honest and trustworthy. Just like the TrustPass principles.
