Xi'an Haohaijia Water Treatment Technology Co., Ltd. (CHIWATEC), has more than ten years of experience in the field of water treatment. But we had never engaged in international trade before. As we updated our products and enlarged the factory, we decided to explore the overseas market.

Introduced by a friend in 2007, we began to cooperate with Alibaba.com. We uploaded our products to Alibaba.com and carefully maintained this B2B platform. Thus we were able to save time and avoid the geographical constraints caused by exhibitions. We could get inquiries at any time every day and provide prompt replies. Generally speaking, now we receive 3~5 inquiries each day. By replying to and receiving emails, we are able to select the premium clients and follow them up. To date, we have 8 stable customers gained through Alibaba.com and several others which we are still negotiating with. Some customers send inquires to us but never give any feedback even though they actually have got their reply from us. But we have to bear in mind that as long as customers search for our products, we have the chance to become their supplier in the future. Once they have a requirement for related products, they may contact us again. These are also valuable potential customer sources.

Alibaba.com’s TradeManager communications tool is another convenient channel for potential clients to easily get in touch with us.

The inquiries on Alibaba.com are from all over the world. So there are different product standards for different areas. This pushes us to improve our products to attain international standards. For example, we obtained the CE certificate last year and now we get more chances to communicate with customers.
