In March, 1999, we came into contact with Alibaba.com and became a regular member of Alibaba.com. We made acquaintance of many overseas customers and began our large-scale B2B E-business project through Alibaba.com. In 2001, we became a member of TrustPass of Alibaba.com and our status was raised to a new stage.
Hexin has advanced herself to a new stage of development through E-business. Our most influential customer was an American company named Blue-Orange, which had also joined Alibaba.com as a buyer. We got to know each other through Alibaba.com. They specialized in developmental games and were looking for the best global suppliers.
Our business started from an order of 1,200 sets of chess which only amounted to a few thousand dollars. Blue-Orange chose Hexin because of Alibaba.com and its credit system. It became a stable customer of Hexin afterwards. In order to meet a growing order demand of Blue-Orange, we set up a special production line. The area of our factory has expanded from 3000 square meters to 12,000 square meters with the production capacity increases twofold.
With the expansion of business, we became a Gold Supplier of Alibaba.com to gain more excellent service. Now 90% orders are directly from overseas buyers and we also have trebled our output. Today, Hexin products are wildly accepted by customers from Japan, South Korea and Europe and the United States.
In 2004, I was honored to be awarded as Top Ten E-business Operator of China and was honored as the Most Innovative Operator in 2005. At that time, I was wondering what should be done to make us to go further?
I realized that toy companies must have its own brand. So I started to research and develop our own products and established our own wooden toy brand-"Benho" in 2004. Benho toys were promoted on Alibaba.com and attracted lots of overseas buyers by their good quality and interesting designs. Now, "Benho" trademark of Hexin is well-known at home and abroad. Franchised stores have covered the whole country.
