JEDDAH (Zawya Dow Jones)--Qatar's Finance Minister Youssef Hussein Kamal said Wednesday inflation in Gulf Cooperation Council states was easing due to the recovery of the U.S. dollar, lower shipping costs and fewer supply bottlenecks.

"There's a trend of easing inflation," Kamal said after a meeting of GCC finance ministers in the Saudi Red Sea city of Jeddah.

Kamal said inflation rates were coming down due to "an improvement of the dollar, the decline of shipping cost and the end of supply bottlenecks some GCC nations witness."
