Valerie Johnson started Big Feet Pajama Company in 2005 from her home computer in Las Vegas. Despite having no experience in product sourcing or the textile industry, Valerie leveraged her unique idea and business savvy into a successful company.

"The beauty of e-commerce is that you can live virtually anywhere and not have the boundaries that limited start-up businesses in the past," said Valerie.

She began visiting factories in the United States to find manufacturers to produce her pajamas. Valerie thought it would be simple to work with a U.S.-based manufacturer, but quickly found that it was difficult to find a company that met her standards.

"Providing a good quality product at a fair price to my customers was paramount, but it was also important to find a supplier that treats employees well by providing good salaries and a safe working environment," said Valerie.

To locate a manufacturer that could produce quality footed pajamas in adult sizes, Valerie turned to Alibaba.com and within a few short days she received several quality leads.

Last year, Big Feet Pajama Company drove $1.8 million in sales through their online, retail, boutique and catalogue business. With the help of Alibaba.com Valarie expanded her line to include a variety of fabrics and designs for the homebody as well as the rich and famous. Her pajamas have even been included as give-away items for both the Academy Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards.
