Alibaba is the best resource on the web!

From starting her own lingerie business to telling her story on CNBC, Jane Ivanov's success is credited not only to the help of Alibaba.com, but her acute market sense too.

In 2004, when Jane Ivanov was pregnant with her first son, she was shocked to see that no pretty bras or panties were made for expecting and nursing moms! She has always been fond of pretty lingerie and committed to breastfeeding – but the prospects of wearing dull underwear for the next year was hardly her idea of sexy. After months of market research, she finally started Eve Alexander, with a mission to bring to market the highest quality maternity / nursing bras and teaching women about proper bra sizing.

When it came to finding a manufacturer, Jane found Alibaba.com was a great resource. "I found around 50 vendors and then filtered them down to a handful. I got samples back and forth and got really fortunate with an excellent manufacturer in China. I started doing business before I even met them face to face. When I went to Hong Kong in 2006, I was very pleased with them, and I actually pulled a few other manufacturers on Alibaba to compare them. My partners came out in shining colors, but finding the other companies and meeting them was a very positive experience."

Thanks to Jane's business talent, the Eve Alexander brand is currently sold through over 100 maternity boutiques, hospital and online stores in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and South Africa. She was invited to "The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch" on CNBC in June 2007 to tell the world how her company has been helping women "embrace their curves". In August 2007, she was named the Entrepreneurial e-Businessman of the Year by Alibaba.com.
