MANILA, Nov 4 - Ten foreign suppliers, including Thai and Vietnamese firms, bid for a Philippines' tender to import up to 250,000 tonnes of rice, the first purchase by the world's largest importer of the grain for 2010.

State grain agency National Food Authority is looking to buy 25 percent broken white rice for arrival between January and April 2010.

It has set a budget of 6.366 billion pesos ($133.3 million) or around $534 a tonne, including cost and freight, at current exchange rates.
