MANILA, Oct 14 - Philippine farm output will grow only 0.5-1.5 percent in 2009, mainly because of the effect of two typhoons which have hit the country since late September, Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap said on Wednesday.
He told reporters that previous growth forecast of 3-3.5 percent was already under review for a downgrade when the typhoons hit late last month.
"With the full extent to the damage, we are likely to downgrade to 0.5-1.5 percent growth," he said.
